Training Philosophy
Team Praxis believes that, while martial arts principles are consistent, training methods must be adapted to the individual. While some approaches utilize a "one size fits all," approach, our trainers realize that every student's goals, learning strategy, level of fitness, physical and personal attributes, and training schedule will vary. For that reason, we make an effort to understand the needs and goal of each member of our team and create a personalized approach for each of them.

Instruction
In general, Team Praxis training sessions are intensive yet relaxed. While there is some degree of structure, classes are largely flexible and provided the space for each team member to dedicate time to making progress in their area of interest.

Typically, two or more trainers are available during each session to answer questions and provide direction. A significant amount of time is spent sparring, performing live training drills (as opposed to static drilling) or engaging in fitness related exercise. Sparring and drilling often provide the impetus for instruction, as they are opportunities to demonstrate techniques and strategies in context where their effectiveness can be seen and felt.

Training in martial arts involves learning about yourself as well as the art you are studying.:
