Toro Rake And Vac
I purchased this Toro electric blow and vac in utter frustration after spending a small fortune on comparable gasoline powered products. I take advantage of it as a vac several times per week and even each day in the Fall. I found that the very low-cost gasoline blow and vacs begin falling aside very quickly indeed as the results of poor and shoddy design so I moved as much as the top of the line, Echo, which appears to be very effectively made and engineered. My first one, an ES211, did outlast its 2 12 months warranty, it had a starter meeting and cord changed below guarantee however then just wore out during the third year. The second ES211 lasted 18 months until something broke inside the engine and it wouldn't even rotate. The third one (a $290+tax ES231 heavy obligation mannequin) is simply over a yr previous and overheats in a short time, smokes badly, and is melting the plastic grill surrounding the engine.
Bought this leaf blower to replace a B&D that went up in smoke the second time it was used. I used to be a bit apprehensive in my choice to buy one other B&D, however it was on sale and with the warranty I felt comfortable. Boy did I do the right thing! This thing actually blows the leaves and vacuums them up actually well. It even destroys small twigs in the process. I recommend this product to those who desire a blower / vac that's highly effective and seems to be designed well.
Prior to this, I had the B&D blower/vac that I bought locally. After about 2 years, it just form of fell apart. I bought the Toro because of the metallic impeller. As a vac, I favored the B&D mannequin better. The Toro does not do a lot to grind up the leaves - essential IMHO for extra speedy composting. Also, the suction tube narrows about half way up. Leaves tend to plug there. After about 4 uses, the connection between the bag and the bag attachment is leaking bits of leaves and dust.
On the other hand, the blower perform is great. It move lots and lots of air. The variable pace management is handy. I wasn't anticipating to make use of the blower function in any respect, but have found it quite helpful.
All mentioned and completed, for my purposes, I would purchase the B&D again. It's less cash and does a greater job of reducing leaves. However, should you're on the lookout for a blower, this seems to be a good one. When you don't need a number of reduction, the metal impeller has sucked numerous leaves with none signs of wear.
