Most fighters who get UFC training in Maryland want to look good when the step in the ring so they should choose MMA shorts that match their personality and preferences.
Muay Thai Shin Conditioning?
First off, is it a good idea for me to purposely deaden the nerve endings in my shins to help power up my kicks?
If so, hi, I'm a 14 year old boy with a black belt in Tae Kwon do and some Kick Boxing experience. I want to know how I can condition my shins to make the bones stronger, hence making my kicks more powerful/stronger.
I've tried kicking a small punching bag with my shins at full force which results in a lot of pain to my shins. I can then kick the bag once more at full force before having to give up for the day.
Am I kicking too hard?
How can I strengthen my shins to take a beating, or at least so that I can achieve more than two kicks.
Thanks in advance.
If you are in TKD, especially a black belt, then you should know this. Practice, practice, and practice some more. You need to respect your body and absorb what you can. If you push your shins to the limit, you won't be able to train for the next few days, do you want that?
It's more than just kicking hard. It's technique. The slower you go, the best. Just because you hear your kicks making nice sounds on the pads or body bag--doesn't mean you're doing any better. Technique, technique, and technique.
You got the TKD experience so you have the speed and accuracy. You got the kickboxing experience so you have some knowledge on how to throw a couple. Adapt, practice, stretch, and breathe.
If you feel it's too much, stop go softer. If not, pretend that as you make that impact, absorb the pain and let it go through you like water, and let that pain filter through your body.
